Picture of the day

Quote of the day

“Never continue in a job you don’t enjoy. If you’re happy in what you’re doing, you’ll like yourself, you’ll have inner peace. And if you have that, along with physical health, you will have had more success than you could possibly have imagined. “– Johnny Carson

It took Angie a while to absorb the meaning of the above paragraph. Not because the words were complicated or the ideas vague or unclear, on the contrary, everything written in the above quote by Johnny Carson is clear, precise,Β concise, simple and true. So what is it that she didn’t grasp immediately after she read the paragraph? Was it the first sentence: “Never continue a job you don’t enjoy”?

Yes, most probably… She kept reading and reading this sentence for a while before she realized that she has been in this job for a pretty long time and that she never liked what she was doing. So why was she still her? Why was she still hanging on to this position and to this place?

Because she has been advised to hang on until she finds something better. And guess what, the ones who advised her to stay were totally convinced that the Beautiful University of Heaven is the best place for her or for anyone else to be. (She still can’t see what they mean, but it doesn’t matter).

Have a great day πŸ™‚
